Hey there y'all. So my life is so crazy sometimes. Lately I feel like.....Insanity. NOT enjoy'n every minute of it.
I need some friends. No not the one's you call "friends" and really are just acquantainances from church, stores, or neighbors. I mean a REAL FRIEND. Ya know the one you can tell anything to and they still love ya. The one whom you confide your secrets in and she doesn't judge you but leads you to Christ. The one that will hold you accountable when you feel like your sliding away. Does anyone out there have that kind of friend? The one that "If they were a flower you'd pick them".
Please enlighten, encourage, and empower me with those of you who actually have this kind of friend. I think I will be ok if I atleast know they exist.
You know I have had a couple of women whom I thought were going to be close to this. Well, come to find out they were not. It is sad when you come upon a txt msg that says something about you that wasn't meant for your eyes obviously. That happen to me recently. My own fault for continuing to read. The woman was saying she would have this other person's back and cover any time. They just wanted to be sure to know what to say if I ever came around to talk or ask about this situation.
Just goes to show "Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not on MY OWN understanding" about anything. Including "so called friends".

Well, there is really only one friend who will never let you down.

All my really good friends who are normally there for me.. have let me down some time or another. After all, none of us are perfect and Satan works hard at discouraging us.. just as he worked hard to discourage Jesus. But He is the only one who will be there for you all the time.
Surely, you aren't saying you have never let any of your friends down?
You've got to give your friends some slack.. or what kind of friend are you? I think you're a good friend. We all get our feelings hurt by our friends at times. That is when it's the hardest to deal with. But time heals those wounds between true friends. Because like I said.. we all let people down at one time or another and when it's a really good friend, both people feel really bad about the whole thing.
You just have to learn to forgive them and stay friends.
